With its rapids, hot tubs, and Jacuzzis, It’s easy to spend hours at this resort. By the time you emerge, it will have stopped raining!
If you’re a lover of water, then you may want to check out one of Morzine’s luxurious spas. Treat yourself away from the stressful weather with a massage or beauty treatment and take the rainy day as an opportunity to recharge with a glass of champagne in your hand! When the weather improves, you’ll be more than ready to jump on your skis again.
If you can’t stand not being outside, then there are plenty of outdoor activities that are great fun in any weather. If you’d rather wait till it stops raining, then why not book a sumptuously long lunch at one of the many mouth-watering restaurants that Morzine has to offer. It’s a French tradition to spend time enjoying food and wine, so sit back and enjoy a traditional Savoyard menu full of tasty treats like fondue and raclette. You can really spend time savouring every morsel instead of shoving food in before racing back to the slopes. If the rain still hasn’t stopped by the time you’re finished, then a nap is sure to help you doze off all that food.
If you have any room in your belly after that lunch then why not hit up one of the regions famous cheese shops and farms? You can get a chance to learn about cheese production while sampling some of the most popular cheeses around. There is a free tour in the town centre that focuses on dairy production that ends up in a cheese cellar, far away from the rain and chill outside…
