The French Alps are gorgeous all year round, with each season offering its own peculiar charm. Spring is a fantastic time to visit just as the snow fades; the Alps turn green and are filled with beautiful wild flowers. This is perfect walking weather, with nothing but the cow bells to disturb the peace. Hike up to the snowline or along the banks of the river Dranse; it will be flowing at its fastest and most turbulent during the spring months as the snow melts. May/June therefore are the perfect months to try a spot of white water rafting for the adrenaline junkies among us; although it’s great fun mid summer too and a good way too cool off as mid summer temperatures in Morzine regularly reach 27°C+.

Unlike many other chalets in the area, La Ferme du Lac Vert is open year round.
